A quick civics/political science lesson: The Democrats do NOT control congress, the Republicans do & here's why.
The Dems pass legislation, it then goes to Bush who vetoes it, & then it goes back to Congress who can't overturn the veto without a 2/3rd vote for it, meaning the Republicans have to vote for it, which they never do! Its called obstructionism. Clear enough? So stop blaming the Democrats, when its the Republicans who are blocking change!

This has been the worst presidency, rubber stamped by the Republican majority Congress for 6 years with 300 scandals (see: http://scandalist.info/ & here too http://www.netrootsmass.net/Hugh/Bush_list.html) & several indictments & even some Republican officials behind bars as we speak. Let's not forget that Bush has murdered over 3900 Americans (soldiers), wounded another 30,000 Americans, killed & made homeless countless in New Orleans, & slaughtered hundreds of thousands of Iraqis & Afghans. Plus with the record of lying from the right wing in the last decade I wouldn't believe any "evidence" that they provide about anything. The Democrats may not be perfect, but when you study the right wing they look like saints in comparison.
both of you have interesting points. i am one that believes that the two party system is a joke and that the dem's and the republicans are both on the same team, both want money. One for wars the other for welfare, and there's only one place they can get that money, the taxpayer.
