Huckabee is a Schmuck

Why is it always the religious ones that turn out to be the worst? What a little political weasel stunt to pull.  You know what's really sad is that the day after Ron Paul raised 6 million, he had a press conference and no one showed up. Now Huckabee has a jam packed press conference about an ad he's not going to show?  What a joke. Huckabee, we see right through your smarmy tactics.  The press might show up, but the people see right through your holier than thou facade  into what you really are, just another politician who will do anything short of killing his own mother, to get power.  The worst part is that you do all of this under the pretense of god. Spare me. I guess i shouldn't be surprised though, i mean tyrants are always draped in religion in one way or the other, so it' s really nothing new. I just wish we would stop electing them.

Gore Vidal on Ron Paul

Just found this video on realnews.com. It is a  very interesting interview with Gore Vidal, he talks about what a slick candidate Hillary is and that she pretty much has the election in the bag.  He then goes on to talk about Ron Paul and the fact that he is so low in the polls and yet raised 6 million in one day.

The Real News website is great, for those that don't know Real News is a new news source that doesn't take money from advertisers, government or corporate funding so they speak very openly and in depth on issues such as the media, the cia vs. the whitehouse, iran  and u.s. foreign policy in general. I just love it, i mean, you don't hear the type of analysis they give. They go right after the media and the white-house and you can really tell they don't take any corporate, advertising or government funding. In my opinion this is long overdue, but at least somebody is doing something. I truly believe the media is the most damaging part of our society and this is mainly because the media is controlled by the advertisers and the government.  What a refreshing change they have brought, and reporting on Paul is just the icing on the cake. I encourage everybody to support the real news, they are doing us all a great service.

Ron Paul's new ad

This is one of the best if not the best ad i've seen from the campaign. The theme is save our generation and it certainly resonates, especially the part with the little girl and her family. This is the type of direct hard hitting ad i wanted to see from the get go. This ad is more bold than the last and reflects Ron's lack of skepticism regarding the message of freedom and his campaign in general. Great job campaign and keep up the good work.

"Fox is scared of me"-Ron Paul

The Baltimore sun has this article on Paul's latest exclusion.
Not just Fox, its pretty obvious that all the major networks have been scared of Paul for quite some time. This fear has come in the form of outright hostility in most cases. If you step back and listen to these interviews he gets you would think you were in a schoolyard with a bully. The name calling, the constant marginalization, and the tone. Don't let me forget the chant that no interview is complete without - "you can't win" or my favorite - "will you run as an independent?", don't these pundits watch the other interviews and realize he gives the same answer each time he is asked? During interviews with the likes of well, anyone, i usually end up screaming at the screen of my mac in a small fit of rage due to the sheer stupidity of the questions.
So, for Ron to say "Fox is scared of me, they are propagandist for this war and i challenge them on the notion they are conservative", i was to say the least, happy. Am i the only one that said finally! Finally he's taking a jab back at them. I know most of his charm is the fact that he never loses his temper and always answers the most asinine questions imaginable with facts and examples. But he's taken so much crap its good to see these comments once in a while.

Weighing in on Ron Paul and Evolution

For this this post i turn to you, the reader. I want to know how you feel in regards to Ron Paul's denial of evolution.

To be honest, it disturbed me some what. I can't understand how such an intelligent man could deny such a rational theory. But as someone said, religion makes smart men dumb. anyway, i know how i feel about it now tell me how it affected your view of the champion of liberty. Please comment below.

Ron Paul Has Succeeded in changing the national conversation

One year ago did you think that we would be talking about gold? What about a preemptive war? A year ago did you even know what that meant, or care?

The transformation that has taken place in this country over the past 8 months has been truly remarkable. And its affecting other candidates, do you believe that the Huckster would have been talking about eliminating the IRS if it hadn't already been tried and tested with Ron Paul.  Can you believe how much you have learned about history just since you found Ron Paul. For this we all owe him a great debt of gratitude.  And it is this that gives us hope. Hope that America can wake up listen to truth and reason, hope that we haven't been completely brainwashed yet. For a long time i thought it was too late. Like many of you i was totally apathetic, and then George W. Bush came, and i was still apathetic, and then 911 came, still apathetic. Then the Iraq war, it was then that i started the steps of gathering information on our current situation and asking some questions.
But there was one problem, no one was asking the questions i was. I wanted to know what laws Bush broke and what i heard and saw in the media was far from the conversation i was looking for.  Bill Maher came next and i got some satisfaction, but it seemed like real questions were still never asked, about our country, the truth that the war on terror is a giant joke.

I remember thinking long before this campaign of how angry the american people are, and yet i felt no one was really speaking to the american people.  I knew there would be a huge void to be filled. A void of people looking for truth and reason and honesty and integrity and consistent principles. Real american people. And then Came Ron Paul.

I laugh to my self when these pundits try and put Ron Paul supporters in categories, of course there are tons of different people that like Ron Paul so when they are done they have described a beautiful array of ordinary American People which they try to marginalize immediately.

Nevertheless, Ron Paul has succeeded. Succeeded in educating a huge population of people on liberty, freedom, monetary policy, and the constitution. Succeeded in getting the constitution back into the national debate. 2008 is the first election in 100 years that the monetary policy has been brought to the national level. Not a feat to scoff at. A few years ago if you told me that masses of people would be spontaneously organizing to champion freedom i would have laughed. What has happened is truly remarkable and we must recognize this for it to continue long after the Dr. is gone.

Ron Paul Leading AOL Straw Poll

Vote in this poll and help Ron Paul win.

It's an AOL straw poll and currently Ron Paul leads all republicans with 30% and 54,000 votes nationwide. The other republicans numbers are very similar to those in the mainstream polls with Giulliani in second with 17% and 30,000 votes.

On the democratic side Clinton leads as expected with 45% and 73,000 votes.

Its certainly good news for the paul team, what do you think? Does this poll matter or is it spammers?

Is this a fluke or is this a sign of strength at a crucial point going into the primaries?

What i find interesting is that everyone but Paul is right in line with the mainstream poll numbers.  What do you think?

Ron Paul making other campaigns nervous in Iowa

This article in the Iowa Independent shows paul in a "solid third" position if the elections were held tomorrow. Here's what they had to say about Paul.....

Ron Paul -- Rival campaigns are beginning to nervously speculate that Paul will finish in the top three on January 3. Paul broke double digits in at least two polls for the first time this week and he seems particularly strong in areas of the state where the media has less of an impact on political deliberations -- especially in rural northwest and southern Iowa. Check out a Ron Paul supporters' websites and you'll see detailed discussions about caucus rules and strategy. The Paulites are more ready for caucus night than most observers realize.

I find it very interesting that articles like these come out and yet somehow the mainstream media still beats the "he can't win" drum. It's like this election cycle suddenly everyone is a psychic fortune teller that knows for a fact that Ron Paul can't win. Well, articles like this are very encouraging to me and other paulites alike. I had to make this post because the media will drop this article never to be seen again and i can't let that happen. Go Ron Paul

Ron Paul With Most Straw Poll Victories

Source: usastrawpolls.com

Ron Paul moves out in front of Fred Thompson with the most number of straw poll wins.

With Ron Paul's win at the Wake County Young Republicans Straw Poll, Ron Paul has taken sole posession of the lead with respect to total number of straw poll victories. Fred Thompson is in second place with 24 straw poll wins, and Mitt Romney whose 22 wins finishes out the Top 3.

Mitt Romney has won several straw polls in various counties across South Carolina which has somewhat inflated his number. Most of Fred Thompson's wins occurred in the April through July timeframe.

Ron Paul is the candidate that is dominating straw poll after straw poll at the moment. But because Paul supporters are very reliable in posting Paul's straw poll victories we tend to be able to update Ron Paul victories faster than those of other candidates. i.e. Fred Thompson may have won straw polls that we are still unaware of at the moment.

Why are polls considered to be the only legitimate form of support for Presidential Candidates?

Done with mainstream media?

Me too, one of the surprising results of this election cycle is my personal realization that every mainstream media source is absolute crap.   If you clicked this link you are probably feel similar to me and don't know what to do about it. Well, to stop watching and listening is a good start but somehow that doesn't fell like enough.  I feel like the media needs a serious reality check, but as with the government it seems like there is no oversight in terms of reliability and credibility.  A thought crossed my mind today of sitting media pundits down in front of america and calling them on there bull with videos and facts supporting how they deceive the people, changing the context of stories and picking and choosing what they deem as news. But then i realized, hey, where would this interview took place, CBS, NBC, CNN, FOX? no way, obviously that wouldn't work. If an interview or a series of interviews were possible it would only be on the inter nets. Maybe we could get the owners of the news corporations to sit down to be grilled on everything. doubtful but one can always dream.

This post is purely to generate discussion on the topic of the mainstream media in our culture and what we (ordinary citizens), can do to reverse these trends.
